In this elective subject we are going to dive into America’s past and also look at its present by reading literature, watching films or videos and discussing/analyzing them in order to find out whether the idea of the American Dream has been reality or just a myth.

2. „Analysing Hemingway“ – a critical analysis of the Nobel Prize winning writer´s work

Earnest Hemingways Gesamtwerk und Schreibstil sind bis heute beispielgebend.

Ausgewählte Werke (insbesondere „short stories“) des Literaturnobelpreisträgers ( „The Old Man and the Sea“, „Big Two-Hearted River“ etc.) sollen diskutiert und analysiert werden.
